Northwest of the village Torsby lies Lekvattnet and Östmark.
The long valleys, has always been considered to been” Swede district”, while the woodland been considered as” Finnish districts”.
The area was checked 1996-1997.At that time onw found seven iron request places and about 130 carbon pits. This carbon pits has been erected in order to produce carbons, that was necessary for the iron request process. The bargains show on big production areas and extensive iron request.
Two off the iron request places have been dated. Both shows itself have been to use from viiking age/means time even first half. The new knowledge shows thus that the pimples not where the first to use these forest areas. The people in the district used itself of the woodlands several hundred years before the pimples arrived.
