LekvattnetVärmlands little dollhouse |
På svenska |
|
|
A small little village way up in Värmland's forest.
You should see it precisely when the suns sprinkles its golden light
on the farms and meadows, where the farm people work.
- the poet Axel Fritiofsson in his poem "My Village"
Deep in the Finnish forest lies Lekvattnet, "Värmland's little dollhouse",
so it was called by the author Selma Lagerlöf
.
400 years ago, people came from far away, seeking a new life and they found it in Rottnans long valley, at the wide boundary to Norway.
Today their descendants live in this district. You can read about them on
our homepage.
Come to Lekvattnet during your vacation, you can have a nice time here.
