Lekvattnets village society 

For some years lately, discussion was quite intense within the municipality, and in other places, about cuts within municipal service, school and more. 
This, along with the fact that the depopulation of Lekvattnet has accelerated in recent years, we decided that something radical must be done.

We knew from our own experience that Lekvattnet and its inhabitants have a solid association activity. 
So we felt, naturally, to try to build something with coordination from those associations that existed. 
And try to take good care about the municipal activities as the school and the commercial service. 
Further we discussed, of course, those development opportunities the district has, and how we can coordinate this.
We decided in an early stage that the coordination function should not to be some overseeing function, instead to be a function to coordinate, and allow each respective association to make its own decisions.

At the first meeting this was decided:

That Lekvattnet is worth investing in. 

secondly:

That we need to turn the population trend to increasing instead of decreasing. " A cocky and over-ambitious objective we thought, but a high goal. We had consulted another town in the vicinity that had increased its population recently. People moved there because of good service, a delicate atmosphere in the district, good school, good leisure activities, entirely simple because each makes it a good place to live. 

Lekvattnet is a good place to live and can become better still.

for the third: 

That if we will succeed in all of this, it must happen with the participation of all in the district   So therefore it was decided early on that although it takes time and sometimes feels difficult , everyone must be welcome to attend the work.    The work started with big meetings, where later various workgroups were formed. 

Therefore:
