Kronprins Gustav Adolf och kronprinsessan Louise på resa genom Värmland 1931

Crown Prince Gustav Adolf
and the Crown Princess Louise
travelled through Värmland in1931.

In the summer of 1931, the crown prince pair Gustav Adolf and Louise came to Lekvattnet. In fairest summertime the people in Lekvattnet greeted them. The first visit concerned the home district farm Karmen Kynna. The road up to the farm was lined with schoolchildren from Mårbacken, Ormhöjden, Vittjärn and Kyrkskolan, all with Swedish flags in their hands. The chairman Erik Lindow said welcome.

After a tour of the farm, a trip to Fäbacken was organized and the highest point, Burkberget, was visited. They carved their names on a stone that still lies there.
After the visit to Burkberget they went to Lekvattnet's tourist hotel. There, a small mother stood, Kajsa Nilsson(age 81), and gave them two homemade whisps. The crown prince thanked her and said that they were glad to come to Lekvattnet! Then the mother Kajsa patted him on the sleeve and said "That is true". At the hotel, the hostess had arranged dinner. The decoration of the tables was a narrow bed of moss, cowberry rice, linnéa and pyrola and meadow wool. This aroused the crown prince's consciousness with deep admiration.

In the evening all of the people came to the hotel's parking lot, in order to admire the Cadillac.
It lacked the number sign, but had instead a royal crown. This was a memorable event for the district's people of Lekvattnet.
